Following The Newspaper Trail

Make a long strip of newspaper by stapling together page after page to create a path. At the end of the trail place a treat, or a special surprise activity. Along the way post little clues. Often these can be photos, words or letters clipped from the newspaper or circled on the newspaper page with bold marker pen. To add to the sense of adventure, the path should wander around the room and the building, even out onto the grounds. The newspaper path is especially handy to mark the way to another class or area in the school that young students are to visit.

Construction

Use boxes and sheets of newspaper dipped in wallpaper glue to create a model of the newspaper publishing plant, a city, a suburb. Make a model of anything that you might be studying and would benefit from constructing a model for.
