The Stock Market

Look at the stock market report in a newspaper. Write a brief explanation of what the positive and negative numbers mean, (the increase or decrease in the unit price of a share from the previous day’s trading). Choose five stocks of local interest or of special interest to you. Graph their variation compared to each other. Is this a good way to show a comparison? Why or why not? What would be a useful graph to compile for a possible investor? Create such a graph and show it to several people. Did they understand it? What changes did they suggest?
